Google Chromecast Review

Google Chromecast is the best thing invented since slice bread. Am I too young to be using that phrase? Let’s try this again.

Google Chromecast is LIT.

You know when people are going crazy over a product and everyone you know is raving about it but you just don’t get the hype? This is kinda how I felt about the Chromecast.

I already invested in an android box, so I figured that was all I needed. Boy was I ever wrong.

Google Chromecast is so straight forward and easy to use I can have whatever I want to watch streaming from my phone to my tv in less than 1 minute. That’s one of the first things that made me fall in love with this streaming device- I have zero patience and I hate how many steps it takes to play what you want on the android box and then waiting for it to load.

The design is super compact and sleek, so it literally takes up no room which is another bonus. The HDMI cord is built into the Chromecast so when you plug it into your tv it’s completely hidden. Nobody wants a bulky, ugly system sitting out in the open totally ruining the aesthetic of a room. It comes with a cord that you plug into the Chromecast and then into a power source, it’s very inconspicuous as well.

It’s super simple to set up, all you need to do is download the Google Home App (available for android and iPhone) it will instantly pair with the Chromecast, and a few simple steps later you’re good to go! From there it explains how to work your new streaming device via a short tutorial.

The Chromecast makes streaming a breeze. I’ve been super into YouTube lately (as you all know, go check out my channel linked below!) and streaming my favourite YouTubers to my tv has never been easier. Not to mention how simple it is to throw on a movie or show from Netflix. My girlfriend and I even stream funny Facebook videos to the tv- it beats watching it on our tiny phone screens!

Streaming from your phone comes with its own perks. You don’t have to worry about constantly losing a remote and it’s great for traveling! The Chromecast is so small and portable it can fit in any handbag or carry on, and lets face it you’re never without your phone.

I never thought that I could enjoy such a small device before I met the Chromecast, now it’s an essential that I can’t live without.
